H-man now has crossed the little guy threshold into boyhood with a broken elbow! It happened Wednesday afternoon....and it is quite the story. Please bear with me! We started the day off getting our flu mist vaccine. Nice and non dramatic!! Came home, had lunch and then I made the kids take a nap. Guess God knew we were gonna need it! They got up early from naps so we headed to the mall to play in the play court since it had been kinda rainy and wet. Like a smart mom that I am, I let my posse enter the mall without the stroller. I really only use it these days to better control my peeps. We played, ate cookies, strutted our stuff. You know, usually mall stuff. It was about 4:30pm and the kids were still having a blast in the play court jumping off things since basically the place is all rubber and the kids can bounce! Except when Harrison falls off the back of the reading sofa and hits his elbow just right. He immediately screamed and grabbed his arm. This caused his sister to go ballistic. So there I was stuck in the mall with 2 screaming kids and no way to get to the car. Harrison was hurting pretty bad and Haddie just wanted to be held. So I called Chris and told him to hustle to the mall, we got ourselves a wounded buffalo. Chris made it to the mall about 30 minutes later. The sweet security guard paid for Haddie to ride the merry-go-round. Twice. Chris did his own little assessment and off we were to the ER. Thank the precious Lord that we have a children's hospital that was AMAZING!!! The only time H got scared was when they were doing the x-rays. He asked me to sing his Jesus songs and that he thought God was gonna come down from heaven to make his arm better. LOVE HIS FAITH!! We go back on Monday for another x-ray and a cast. Right now he is just in a partial one to help the swelling go down and drain fluid off the wound. The first day was rough but today he has totally learned how to wield that arm and play hard with his buddies at the pumpkin patch! We are also praising God for Medicaid and no out of pocket expenses!!
